Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Aftermarket Sales Engineer is responsible for overseeing the sales and support of products or services after they have been delivered to customers.
The Aftermarket Sales Engineer will work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide technical expertise, and offer solutions or upgrades to enhance the performance and longevity of our product.
The Aftermarket sales engineer is responsible for managing customer relationships to ensure continued satisfaction and foster potential future business opportunities.
Manage the proactive sales of Aftermarket solutions (parts, service and support) to new and existing customers.
Maintain, grow, and develop new Aftermarket business through close customer contact of existing installations.
Create Aftermarket solution offers/quotations and submit them to the customers promptly and effectively.
Develop customers to their full potential and to maximum profitability.
Grow sales of parts, service and customer annual service / maintenance contracts.
Maintain close customer contact by both visiting and by telephone.
Record all commercial activity in CRM system (e.
g.
customer visits, phone calls, offers, etc.
).
Remain up-to-date on customers' business and anticipate their needs and requirements.
Where appropriate, offer technical advice & support to customers, end-users & partners.
Ensure that customer service levels are maintained, e.
g.
that inquiries, orders and complaints are handled efficiently and followed up.
Ensure that customer records and contacts are updated in the appropriate systems (CRM).
Be continually aware of customers' current financial status and follow up on credit matters if required.
Gather and feedback market intelligence, e.
g.
price levels, competitor activities, market trendsDevelop parts and service marketing activities, go to market strategies and customer support packages for each new installation.
This includes recommended parts stocking lists and annual service contracts.
Provide accurate monthly and quarterly forecast of Aftermarket sales.
Monitor market and adapt strategies for business development.
Build and nurture relationships with existing and new customers to generate leads and repeat business.
