3K a year Inventory and Logistics Supervisor MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare jobs for shipment including sorting, counting, packaging, palletizing.
Ability to extend skidding and create framework around systems for shipping support using a table saw, nail gun as well as standard and impact drills.
Coordinates outbound freight shipments with different carriers using shipping portals.
Proficient in handling pallets, crates and raw material with a forklift and pallet jack, including around the warehouse and onto freight trailer in a safe and responsible manner.
Perform ERP systems work.
Picking up and/or dropping off material at local suppliers utilizing company vehicle Understands shipping requirements domestically and internationally.
Make sure that items are loaded onto shipment vehicle in a safe and timely manner.
Taking and logging photos of all products leaving the facility Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials throughout the shop.
Communicate with customers by phone and email within specific time frames.
Work with sales, production, and project managers to ensure on time delivery is met.
Produce pick lists, packing slips, Bill of Ladings, and customs documents.
Must work well in a team environment.
Maintain daily information boards.
Other warehouse duties as assigned.
Health and Safety:
Follow all Company Safety Policies and Procedures, as well as the safety requirements of our customers where applicable.
Immediate reporting of any safety violations or concerns.
Ensure all applicable regulatory standards are met with regards to loss prevention, accident investigation, OSHA compliance Works with team members to actively improve safety of the plant.
Ensures that work area is clean, organized, and free of dangerous or hazardous material.
Ensure safety action items are completed accurately and timely.
Quality:
Follow SOP's and ensure all products are manufactured to specifications.
Assists in the development of quality processes improvements and work instructions.
Work with team members to identify root cause to failures and implementation of corrective actions.
Works in accordance with product specification to ensure minimization of defects.
Fixes defects and reports issues if occur.
All material and projects leave the facility in perfect condition.
Productivity:
Ensure MPS dates are completed on time.
System assemblies are palletized in a reasonable time frame.
All packages and freight leave the building at the specific due date.
Continuous Improvement:
Participates in ABM initiatives and activities.
(5S events, Kaizen events, weekly CIP meetings, problem solving, improvement projects, etc.
) Work with team members to provide input to improve process and workspaces.
Provide feedback to your supervisor for process improvement ideas.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 5
years of logistics experience 5
years of Inventory experience Domestic and International shipping with both freight and small parcel Microsoft office 2 years forklift operator experience History of using an ERP system Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to manage multiple priorities to achieve success.
Good problem-solving skills Strong planning, organization, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Successfully pass background check Must be punctual and without attendance issues.
