Description Position at JBS USA PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENTJBS- SOUDERTONOperations Management, Souderton, PennsylvaniaDESCRIPTIONoOversees efficiency of monitoring production, scanning make sheets, and discussing daily goals with Supervisors.
oReports to Fabrication Office for order sheet (make sheet), attends supervisor meetings and reports work schedule to supervisors daily.
oDirects supervisors concerning production volume, quality, cost, and meeting production schedules and delivery dates.
oHandles any employee grievance, dispute, or problem the most efficiently possible.
Any unsolved matter taken up with Human Resources.
oActively participates in group meetings, line meetings, and supervisory meetings.
oWork with the Quality Control department to insure product quality & food safety.
oTrains and develops supervisors to provide management depth and develop teamwork to attain department objectives.
oMonitors and confirms the machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintaining and sanitized.
oMaintains good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions.
oContact with line personnel, in addition to plant management.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIESManaging the beef fabrication operations of the plant for assigned areaCoordinate with sanitation to meet USDA standards.
Provide clear direction for supervisors by establishing KPI's (Key Performance Indicators), Communicating goals and opportunities and encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
Ensuring effective utilization of human resources by training subordinates, motivating consistent performances, appraising performance, recommending salary action and developing for potential promotion.
Monitoring operations to meet company policies, quality specifications, and USDA and OSHA standards.
Conducting plant inspections to eliminate hazardous conditions.
Managing all aspects of operations to ensure a safe working environment.
Taking immediate action to eliminate improper practices or hazardous conditions.
Required skills:
oTeam oriented, Communication skills & People skillsoBilingual important, but not mandatory.
oKnowledge of beef cuts and production process.
oMust be able to read, write, and speak EnglishMust have 2-3 years of packinghouse experienceWorking Conditions:
oWorking in cold temperatureoFrequent exposure to knives, hot water and production machinery.
oPhysical demands of this position may include a great deal of walking and stair climbing.
oEnvironment consists of slick floors and loud noise.
oEmployee will typically work 50-55 hours per week M-F with some Saturday work if necessary.
